Invasion Of The Body Snatchers - 4 Themes

There are 4 different themes of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. These are paranoia, fear of others, fear of annihilation and loss of identity, and all of these are some how linked together.
Parnoia is a huge theme and is in the film from the beginning. Miles straight away notices changes, aswell as the public, this sparks the paranoia and fear. This film being based on the time when James Mccarthy was Senator and this is reflected in the film with the use of paranoid. This being the fact that the more word spreads it means the fear and paranoia spread liek an actual disease through the public producing mass hysteria.
The 3 other themes all add up to the theme of paranoia. Such as the fear of others. With all of the changes people obviously dont know who to trust or who to be scared of. These 'people' are representatives of Mccarthy's followers and how people were scared of them, because they, like the pods, were unknown and had different ideologies.
