I chose this as my main film to look at when analysing Marilyn Monroe's Star status as the character of Sugar Cane reflects the personality of Marilyn very well and although throughout most of her performances she plays the same ditzy blond this particular film shows how much of a free spirit Marilyn is and how she wants to find 'Love'.

Item[2] - Gentlemen Prefer Blondes ( Dir: Howard Hawks - 1953)

Again this film represents all things Marilyn with the performances showing her showbiz aspect and then the search for a millionaire representing her need for fame and success.

Item [3] - Bus Stop ( Dir: Joshua Logan - 1956)

This film especially shows the Norma Jean aspect of Marilyns life and her need to be known and be a big Hollywood star.
