The scene I have chosen is the home invasion in A Clockwork Orange, in which Alex and his drogues invade a home and rape a woman while her husband is forced to watch. The modern day comparison I have chosen is the first scene in Law Abiding Citizen, in which Cylde Shelton is attacked in a home invasion and witnesses his wife almost being raped in front of him, before having his child taken away from him. Both these scenes can be considered shocking as they both involve graphic scenes of rape, however A Clockwork Orange can be considered a lot more graphic. But this not make it more shocking, as the form and content of the films help to impact on our viewing of the film.

There are many similarities in the films, as both the victims are attacked and mentally and physically damaged by the scenes they saw, as well as both the wives in the film dying off screen.

In a Clockwork Orange we witness the drogues invade the house, and we witness the entire thing from the attacking on the family and almost the rape.
