We see this in a number of points throughout the film. Firstly we see it right at the beginning when we are introduced to Anna, she is treated as an object by the men in the room. She is held close to one of them who had his hand on her leg. This proves that she is seen as just an object for sexual pleasure or a trophy to parade around. In this same scene the men are watching pornography while laughing and taking pleasure from it, this further emphasises the fact that women are objectified and erotisized by men.
Another example of this is when we see Edna threaten to call the police when Carter is interrogating Thorpe, Carter pays little attention to her and asks her to make him a cup of tea, attempting to reward her by letting her watch him perform the interrogation. He also objectifies Edna later on in the film when he talks on the phone to Anna. He treats Anna as an erotic object by the way he is talking to her, as well as Edna as she in the room and can hear him, Carter also stares straight at her when he's on the phone. Another scene in which women are objectified is when Carter is in the pub and two women start fighting, all of the men just watch and laugh at them, showing that they are seen as objects of entertainment to the men.
- Edna is again sexualised when Carter uses her for sex
