First shot is a medium wide shot also it’s a low angle shot and this shot is of Norman, when he is inviting Marian into his office. Also when the camera is on Norman its also dark the is never ever light on him. Norman has an obsession of stuffing things. All around his office is stuffed birds. On the first shot when Marian and Norman are in the room he is standing in front of a bird of pry with the wings coming out as if  it is ready to attack. The next shot is a mid shot of both Norman and Marian. When they are both sitting down the is a lot of clues of what type of person Norman is. One of these clues are when they are sitting down because where Marian is sitting in the background the are little birds and the is a candle lit, but where Norman is sitting the is no light and the is big birds of pry. The impression I get is that he is the bird of pry and Marian is the pry.
