Why was Scott Pilgrim a box office failure?

Scott Pilgrim vs. the world is a comic book based film that was released in 2010. The budget for the film was 85-90 million dollars but the film only made $47,664,559 in the box office labeling the film as a box office failure.

So what were the reasons for Scott Pilgrim’s failure? It certainly had the budget to be a great successful film, and there aren’t many reviews that will call it a bad film, it could have been down to many reasons, and that’s what I’m going to talk about today.
