Four lions post-9/11

Four lions is a perfect example of post 9/11 cinema, as the movies plot is about, Four amateur British terrorists who plan to kill thousands of people at the London Marathon in a terror attack, but end up bungling the operation.This was also a film to mark the 10th anniversary of 9/11, so basically without the September eleventh attacks, this film might not have been created; or it could have been created but instead of the middle eastern stereo type of Muslim terrorists, it could have possibly been Russians, or seen as it was in Britain it might have been Germans.

Chris Morris is said to have completed the script for the film in 2008, following three years of research, which included speaking to terrorism experts, police, the secret service and imams as well as ordinary Muslims.

This has been the first Terrorism comedy, ever and most people are wondering as to why terrorism is funny. Chris Morris replied by saying, "Most of us would dearly love to laugh in the face of our worst fears”, he says. “Why aren't we laughing at terrorists? Because we didn't know how to, until now."
Many years have passed since 9/11, and it still shocking, but as time goes by we see, times change. such as the British soldiers are being taken out of Afghanistan and the death of Osama Bin Laden.

So in conclusion, Four lions, the film about Four friends failed attempt at a jihad, would not have been created if not for 9/11.
