You must use your knowledge of the Micro Elements to write an in=depth analysis of the opening scene from The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of The Ring

Your analysis must cover the following micro elements:

Cinematography (inc lighting, framing & Visual Effects)

Editing

Mise-en-Scene

Sound (identify both Diegetic & Non-Diegetic sounds

Watch the scene four times and use the handout below to make detailed notes on each of the micro elements. 

Your objective:

To demonstrate how Peter Jackson has used the micro elements to create meaning and inform the audience about the fantasy world, characters and story of the film.
