The Matrix is about a character called Neo played by (Keanu Reeves) who is a hacker who is curious about the myth of something called The Matrix but he does not know yet that people from the Matrix are actually looking for him which is not good news but there are Rebels that are also looking for Neo who need him for the war against the Machines. 

The Matrix is an astonishing and original Film thanks to the amazing directing of the Wachowski brothers it feels fresh and eye-popping throughout the movie making sure it never feels boring but always keeping you intrigued. With a very interesting story and alot of action and breaking the barrier of Sci-Fi going beyond what we think would be the pinnacle.

The Matrix does not only have great directors but also it has a great cast to go with it with some stellar performances to top it. Neo the main protagonist is played by (Keanu Reeves) who gives a stellar performance and really gets you attached to his character Neo making you feel like you want him to succeed in the film. Morpheus played by (Laurance Fishburne) Is the person looking for Neo believing he is "the one" the person who can save the Matrix from total destruction from the enemies of the Rebels in the Matrix called the Machines who are actually Machines. There is a love interest in this movie her name is Trinity and she is played (Carrie-Ann Moss) Now Carrie did do a good job here but at times I believed she was emotionless and could of done alot better at times throughout the film but she done her character well being Morpheus second hand woman while also becoming the love interest when Neo was in the picture. The actor (Hugo Weaving) is the stand out performance in this film he might be the main Antagonist but when he is on the Screen he steals the show as his character Agent Smith who is part of an army of agents that are gatekeepers of the Matrix. Finally the final main character Cypher who is played by (Joe Pantolino) is part of the rebels trying to find Neo but is actually betraying the Rebels by telling the Agent Smith everything the Rebels are planning on doing.

Now like every movie The Matrix is not perfect but it is just not as flawed as most movies. For the most part it is a flawless movie but at times the acting can be lackluster fortunately enough it's only the minority of the less important cast. Also at times the CGI is very awful to the point that you want to look away from the screen fortunately this is very rare but could of been alot bettter.

Overall I believe this Film is a revolution for for the Sci-Fi genre and I believe it will be enjoyed by any Sci-Fi or action movie fan about. For those with an interest in movies for their story then you are going to love this as well. A movie that is revolutionary with it's Sci-Fi and action has a great story and is thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish means I think it deserves a rating worthy of any great film.
