Film Review - Man on Fire, made in 2004 Man on fire, an intense film about a man caled John w Creasy (denzel washington) hired to protect a young girl. It takes place in mexico city where there are almost 24 abductions per week. This then leads to the hiring of John W Creasy to protect nine year old girl Pita. The film starts pretty slow; the reason being is it gives a real insight to the kind of person Creasy is. Creasy's a very dull charactor barely tolerates Pita and her pestering yet loving nature. Slowly she finds a way into allowing him to open up to her. Then suddenly there newly close bond is torn when Pita is kidnapped. Creasy then vows to Pita's family to get her back at any price. I feel this film is very thriling yet displays lots of drama. It would be very suitable for a wide range of film lovers as it offers a variety of scene types. This is my personal favourite film which i have watched over three times. I feel it out showdos many other films of this type purely because its range of genres compacted into one film. To conclude, i would rate this film 9/10 and would recommend anybody watching it.
