Allegiance and Alignment

We are seen to see Pyle as a threat because of the way he is. He is an outcast in the group with what he does and even how he looks. He is seen to drag everyone else down with him. This is seen in the scene where he is going through the muddy water and he falls over and people then fall behind and fall over and Joker has to help him up.

In the scene where Pyle is on the climbing frame, he is on his own, everyone else is going up it in pairs and are all in sync with each other. He is seen as a threat here as he is not up to the standards of the other men and the consequence of that he is putting everyone else behind and they are paying the price which leads the group to hate him.
