During the ‘home invasion’ scene how is the spectator implicit in the attack?

During the home invasion the spectator is implicit in numerous methods. One such is the lack of sympathy of the women in the scene. Throughout the film at this point, women are simply seen as passive and used for male pleasure and this scene builds further upon it. Throughout it, males constantly dictate Mrs Alexandra, even by her husband, as she is initially hesitant to open the door, until he tells her otherwise. There is no female P.O.V given, only from male perspectives. The spectator therefore literally see’s through the male pleasure in order to take pleasure from the way Mrs Alexandra is treated. She is fetishized, shown through how she is exposed by Alex in sections; the spectator views her from a voyeuristic perspective. Building upon the lack of female P.O.V, even her husband is granted a P.O.V. We are forced to see her from his view, thus making him arguably the real victim of the scene, as she is being used to punish him through a certain viewpoint....
