Most important findings:

The three disney films i have chosen to use, snow white, frozen and brave.

primary research- peoples personal opinion on how disney represent woman. do they think it has changed? using 5 men and 5 women point of views so there is an even balance.

laura Mulvey, male gaze theory and how it backed up my findings into Disney's representation of woman.

quotes
the image of woman as passive raw material for the active gaze of man.

it is the place of the look that defines cinema, the possibility of varying it and exposing it.

in their traditional exhibitionist role of woman are simultaneously looked at and displayed, with their appearance coded for strong visual and erotic impact so that they can be said to connote to-be-looked-at-ness.

The presence of woman is an indispensable element of spectacle in normal narrative film, yet her visual presence tends to work against the development of a storyline to freeze the flow of action.

the bechdel test three questions

1 are there at least 2 woman ?
