The storyline of the film basis around the character Rob and his three friends Rud, beth and Marelda who endanger their lives whilst trying to locate Robs girlfriend Lilly during an alien invasion. Robs best friend Rudis recruted to record the whole evening using a video camera.

 Rob who has taken a job as a vice president for a Slusho company, has to move to Tokyo in which his brother, Jason, and his girlfriend, Lily throw a surprise going-away party for him. Rob's best friend, Hud  is recruited to videotape the evening but spends much of his time trying to hit on Marlena. Rob is uncomfortable when Beth brings a date to the party. Rob and Beth have been friends for a long time and had recently had an affair; their date to Coney Island was recorded on the videotape that Hud is now using to record the party. Rob ended the affair abruptly when he got the job. At the party, he insults Beth, who storms out
