Final scene of Remember
me, shows how unexpected and sudden the destruction was.
This film is considered
to be a post 9/11 film as the ending is revolved around the tragedy. Although Remember
Me is fictional you become so invested with the characters that you also share
the shock of the loss of lives. You feel empathy for how his loved ones must of
felt when they heard that the twin towers had been bombed knowing that someone
they loved was in the building. As the film does not focus on the actual attack
it intensifies the film as you are left wondering if he could of gotten out by
some miracle. This also allows the audience to feel sympathy as we are also
praying that he somehow survived.
Three thousand people
were murdered that day and we only get to see one families reaction and the
effects of his death, provoking the audience to think about the devastation on
a larger scale.
