Post 911 film

World Trade Centre (2006) The film is considered post 911 because it follows a story of a group of police officers who go to the site of 911 after the first tower was hit and attempt to rescue civilians involved, during which they realise the extent of the damage and the danger they are in to save others. upon arriving they witness people jumping from windows of the building to certain death because they saw that as a better way to die which is a powerful message for the audience because it helps realise how fearful and scared they were that they would rather jump to a certain death than stay in the building which shows how little choice they had and how hostile the building is. During the film the characters refuse to accept that the second tower has been hit as they realise that what's happened is not a freak accident but a targeted attack, they also are told that other places have been attacked like the Pentagon, this would have been something that many US citizens would have told and would have made them realise what was actually happening.

The film helps give a understanding of the feelings people would have felt like fear and desperation and the damage and danger that people were in who lived in New York at the time, it also reveals how at the time people were not sure what was actually happening and at the beginning they did not think that it was a targeted attack on innocent people. The film is a true story of two police officers who survived the attack and emulates how they and others would have felt during 911 and how confused and full of fear they would have been it also show how courages the men and women were during the time, but also the film shows how people also united together and put all their efforts into helping recover the victims. The film also shows the characters families and how they react to hearing about the news and how their husbands have gone missing during the buildings collapse, which would have been something which would have happened during 911 and the film shows the emotions and feelings people would have been going through. Most people during the time saw the attack as a accident which is shown in the film but they than began to realise when the second building was hit that it was a targeted attack and lead them to be confused as to why and who did it, this is shown during the film and shows how people reacted before, during and after the attack and shows how they wanted revenge for what had happened and shows the aftermath of the attack.
