Reasons it was a failure;
- The visuals were very good but the story line never lived up to the actual imagery of the film
- People who read the books expected more from the films, films didn't include everything from the books
- The narrative tended to drag its self on in the first half, meaning people got bored and told their friends not to see the film
- Lost ratings in the box office
- People had been exposed to other books and films like Harry Potter and LOTR meaning that Narnia didn't live up to their standards
- It wasn't as complex as the other films and felt it was a bit child like
- People were not very interested in Narnia when they had all these other complex big block buster films that challenged them more as an audience
- Came out in the cinema when other big block busters came out meaning people would rather go and see the other films.
