In the home invasion scene, from the very start the spectator is positioned to view the rape victim as an object and passive. The scene begins on the male writer and slowly tracks towards the women as the bell rings. She automatically goes to answer the door as she is there to serve the man. The spectator is also encouraged to view her as a sexualised object as she is wearing a skin tight jumpsuit and we watch her walk away from the camera so the spectator gets a full view of her body. In the hallway we also get to gaze at her body from all directions as there are mirrors on every wall. Because Alex can't see the women, this view is specially for the spectator to gaze at her. Also even though she believes it would be dangerous to answer the door her husband goes against her judgement and tells her to open the door anyway. This shows that she is just an object that is controlled by her husband. After she lets Alex and the droogs in she is then an object for them to control and use, much like her husband. Because of this we can say that she is only in the film to be used and abused by men.
