Doppelgangers

A Doppelganger is a ghostly double of a living person that haunts it's living counterpart. Doppelgangers are common in film and literature and are often figured as a twin, a mirror-image or another copy of the protagonist. They also represent a significant motif in the psychoanalytical study of film. Doppelgangers have been used in literature from the time of the Greeks, and are a symbol of psychomachia.
