Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
The hero of the story Indiana jones (Harrison ford) tries to track down the Holy Grail with his father henry (Sean Connery). On their journey they will face many perils for example Nazis. This is the third film in the series and it continues with the same Indiana with the same old whip. The performance of the actors in this film reflects what the audience wants from classic Steven Spielberg, the interaction between the actors seems genuine. There are some significant interactions with characters; an example is Indiana jones and his father. How Steven Spielberg portrays them is similar to his other films. He shows the relationship between them as very distant and problematic but trying to work it out. This is a classic Steven Spielberg trait because he didn’t have the best relationship with his father. Another trait in the film is the same music as the rest of the films. He uses the same theme music and the same style of music which is a very heroic style of music. John Williams composed the soundtrack and he has also composed the soundtracks of the other films, he has also written music for other Steven Spielberg films. On the downside this film has issues. Some of these are the graphics are dated and the special effects are poor to these days because of the limitations of the technology of that time. A major problem of this film is the objectifying of women characters. This is down to the old fashion views of the woman being seen as love interest. My opinion is that this film stands up to the rest of the films in the series. I will rate this film 8/10 for a great storyline and for the acting.
