Get Carter Analysis
In the movie Get Carter the location is very working class and drab. This is shown through the scene in the pub where Carter walks through and we see the contrast in his smartly dressed appearance compared to the casual clothes of everyone. The pub looks very dull and dirty and everyone appears to be in a confined space at one end of the room. It is dimly lit and appears smoke filled which connotes the working conditions of the mines and docks where these men would spend their days. We can see how Carter looks down on everyone else as though he is superior to the working class environment he is in. The shot of the man with 6 fingers represents how people from the South viewed people from the North as mutants and disgusting beings in comparison to themselves.
