I
chose this article because it discusses the issue of whitewashing in the film Exodus Gods and Kings. You get Ridley Scot's opinion about the issue as well as the
author. The article was written by The Week. An example of a quote is "Not
only are all the main characters white, but the servants, thieves and assassins
are played by Africans," and "I can't mount a film of this budget and
say that my lead actor is Mohammad so-and-so from such-and-such." I agree
that the problem of whitewashing is quite bad and they should have had a full
white cast or entirely non-white cast.
