Importance of stars to producers and audience!

There are many aspects to making a great film but one of the vitals one is that that are the 'Stars' maybe not having as much influence as they used to because there has been such a expansion in the amount of film stars that come to our screen, resulting in fans bases getting smaller, however they are still a big influence on the film and how  its seen and percieved by people also being a big attraction to people.

To an Audience the stars are important for the main reason they stars have very much a character which they play frequently, for instants one extremely popular star who is frequently related to wit and cool laid back feel about him is Robert Downey Jr, this personna being created mostly from the Iron Man franchise which was a massive influence on how he was seen by the public, throwing him back into the spotlight and making him a superstar earning millions each movie he has appeared in, also you see his very popular character in more then just Iron man but in his advertisement, but not in the sense that he is Tony stark but that he still comes of as the cool character that he usually plays. This for the audience is a plus as it

Robert Downey Jr also has an attractive appearance and which is a clear reason he is able to gain publicity, even starting of the trend of an Tony Stark beard all this adding up to a lot of word of mouth as people will be interested by this and it will get around. Not only does his appearance get him into the public consciousness but his bad boy behaviour in the past with him being a drug addict people enjoy that he has come up from the bottom and become something great , also coming into the business with his father already being established and having a fane base that could not of hurt his status but got to far as to stay adopting some of them.

To a Producer a star is important like Robert Downey Jr because of his already established status and for Robert Downey Jr what give him this was probably the film he stars before the Iron Man franchise and this is Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, so they know that they can now trust this but once again for kiss kiss bang bang was not the case because of his outrages behaviour  and drug habit.  So because of Robert Downey Jr's large audience (with 11 million likes on Facebook) this make's him very desirable to a producer, and flaunting him as much as possible with putting his name on the cover of every film poster and trailer when they get a chance.
