Get Carter analysis; representation of women, men and location
In this essay I will be writing about the representations of women, men and location in Get Carter.
Women are unfavourably portrayed in Get Carter. The males view women as sexual objects to be looked at and used by them. An example of this is Glenda during the poker game. She has no value of being there as she adds nothing but her sole purpose is to look pretty. Her clothes are revealing and hair and makeup is done perfectly to highlight her attractiveness. Glenda is there to arouse the interest of the men which sexually objectifies and degrades her as a character.
However women are represented as using their sensual sexuality to progress themselves. This is probably how Glenda gain her position as a 'gangster's moll'. Brumby evens puts her up in a flat so basically Glenda is Brumby's personal prostitute.
