This scene is shocking simply because of the content. Shaun, the young boy in the scene goes into the shop and says some ridiculously racist comments. The fact he is about 12 also contributes to the shocking nature of the scene. Although the content alone is shocking, whilst watching the film, the motives behind the scene are equally as shocking. Combo, another character in the film who is extremely right wing, influences a 12 year old boy to commit racist crimes. The shock factor personally comes from the fact that there are actual people out there, that share these views, and commit similar acts and have the same ideologies towards other races.

This guy is terrifying. The fact he uses a pizza cutter to intentionally scar someone without killing them gives you a good idea just how horrible this man is. Visually, he is unstable, shown through the micro elements and through the way he snaps within a second. You don't feel safe watching it, no one is safe with big Pat around.
