Star Wars The Force Awakens.
The Immediate low angle close up of kylo rens mask shows that he is dominant and should be feared, the camera moves with him to put us inside the film, almost like we are walking with him, which makes us curious of what he is going to find around the corner.
The Close up of Han solos face shows the fear and worry and almost shows a look of anxiety because even he doesn't know how the situation will end, and how kylo ren will react to finally coming face to face with him.
The camera then zooms out and pans left and right to show how isolated han is if the situation does go wrong. The camera shows a huge amount of black and red light around the area which han and kylo are standing, these colours usually signal danger, and as the scene gradually goes on the shot becomes much darker and much more red, this makes us feel that something has to happen soon, before the characters go into complete darkness.
We then see a behind view of han solo, as he is edging gingerly towards his son, the fact that han makes the first moves could show us that he is confident in the situation ,also when kylo removes his mask, his face shows that he is a little nervous and edgy. but as the characters exchange words han becomes less confident and more afraid, as shown in the close up just before he is pierced with Kylos Lightsaber. Just after the killing there is an Extreme close up of kylos face, and as his eyes open up it shows to us that maybe if any good was left inside of him, it is now gone and kylo ren is someone to fear throughout the galaxy.
The close up shot of leia gives us a huge impression that someone that someone she loved has gone, also the way the camera zooms in shows that she is trapped, and cannot escape now that han has gone. The camera then zooms out to show kylo ren on his own, this shows that people are afraid of him, because nobody will go near him.

Check grammar and punctuation. All proper nouns (names) should begin with capital letters (Kylo Ren, Han Solo, Starkiller base).
ReplyDeleteAvoid using the phrase 'zoom'. A zoom is a move where the camera is stationary but the shot is tightened by 'zooming' in. What you are referring to is a tracking shot / track forward as the camera is physically moving closer.
